Buccellati's New Magnolia Brooches
Italian fine jewelry house Buccellati recently unveiled three new magnolia brooches created by Andrea Buccellati, the third generation of the Buccellati family. The three magnolia brooches feature stamens embellished with sapphires, emeralds and rubies, while the petals are hand-engraved using the unique “Segrinato” technique.
Buccellati adopted the “Segrinato” hand-engraving technique in the early 1930's and 1940's, primarily for silver pieces. However, over the next two decades, it was widely used by Buccellati in jewelry making, especially for the polishing of foliage, flowers, and fruit components in bracelets and brooches. The carving process is characterized by a number of overlapping lines in different directions, giving the texture of the petals, leaves and fruits a real, soft and organic look.

The Segrinato hand-engraving process is fully utilized in the classic and iconic Magnolia brooch collection by Buccellati. The magnolia brooch first appeared in Buccellati's jewelry collection in the 1980s, and its hyper-realistic style showcases the brand's unique aesthetic.
It is worth noting that three new magnolia brooches from Buccellati are on display at the Saatchi Gallery in London. In addition, Buccellati also presents three hyper-realist floral jewelry brooches from the brand's history: the orchid brooch from 1929, the daisy brooch from the 1960s, and the begonia brooch and earrings from the same collection launched in 1991.

Tiffany Jean Sloanberger High Jewelry Collection “Bird on Pearl”
The “Bird on Stone” is a classic high jewelry design and brand culture IP that Tiffany & Co. has been vigorously promoting for several years.
Created by legendary Tiffany jewelry designer Jean Schlumberger, the first “Bird on a Rock” was created in 1965 as a “Bird on a Rock” brooch inspired by the yellow cockatoo. It is set with yellow and white diamonds and uncut lapis lazuli.
What made the Bird on Stone collection famous was the Bird on Stone in yellow diamonds, created in 1995. Set by Tiffany's jewelry designer at the time on a legendary 128.54-carat Tiffany yellow diamond, and presented to the public in Tiffany's retrospective of the master Jean Stromberg at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, this yellow diamond was the first to be presented to the public in the world. “Bird on Stone has become an iconic Tiffany masterpiece.

Over the past three years, Tiffany has made “Bird on Stone” an important cultural icon for the brand after a reorientation of its strategy and a further commercialization. As a result, the “Bird on Stone” design has been applied to a wider range of colored jewels, including high-quality pearls, and the new 2025 “Bird on Stone with Pearls” is the third in the collection, featuring natural, wild pearls from the Gulf region. The new “Bird on Pearl” collection for 2025, the third in the series, uses natural wild pearls from the Gulf region, acquired by Tiffany from collectors.
The new Bird on Pearl High Jewelry creations include brooches, earrings, necklaces and more. In some of the pieces, birds gracefully perch atop baroque or teardrop pearls, while in other designs, the pearls are transformed into the birds' heads or bodies, offering a combination of natural elegance and bold creativity. The gradation of color and richness of the pearls evoke the changing seasons, from the softness and brightness of spring, to the warmth and brilliance of summer, to the serenity and depth of autumn, each piece has its own unique beauty and charm.
